Author Guidelines
The Innovative Journal of Educational Research and Insights (IJERI) welcomes original research articles, reviews, and theoretical papers that contribute to the field of educational research. To ensure the quality and clarity of submissions, authors are expected to follow the guidelines outlined below.
1. Manuscript Submission
- Submission Platform: Manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the journal’s online submission system. Manuscripts sent via email will not be accepted.
- Language: All submissions must be written in clear and concise English. Authors are encouraged to have their manuscripts proofread by a native speaker if necessary.
- Originality: The manuscript must be the original work of the author(s) and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must confirm the originality of their work during submission.
2. Manuscript Format
- Document Format: Manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) files.
- Font: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font size, and double-spacing throughout the manuscript.
- Margins: Set 1-inch (2.5 cm) margins on all sides.
- Word Count: Manuscripts should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures. Shorter or longer submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

-
Results: Present the findings of the study in a clear and logical manner, using tables, charts, or figures as necessary. Avoid interpreting the results in this section.
-
Discussion: Interpret the results, explaining their significance in the context of existing research and theory. Discuss implications for practice, limitations of the study, and directions for future research.
-
Conclusion: Provide a concise summary of the main findings and their relevance to the field of education.

6. Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance
- Plagiarism: IJERI takes plagiarism seriously. All submissions are checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity indices will be rejected.
- Ethical Approval: For research involving human subjects, authors must provide a statement of ethical approval from a recognized ethics committee or institutional review board.
- Informed Consent: Authors must confirm that informed consent was obtained from all participants involved in the research.
7. Peer Review Process
- Initial Screening: The editor will conduct an initial screening to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s scope and follows the submission guidelines.
- Double-Blind Review: Submissions that pass the initial screening will be sent to two independent peer reviewers for a double-blind review, meaning both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous.
- Review Feedback: Authors will receive reviewer feedback within 6-8 weeks. Manuscripts may be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.
8. Revisions
- Revision Process: If revisions are required, authors must submit a revised manuscript within the timeframe provided by the editor. Authors should include a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments, detailing how they have addressed the feedback.
- Final Submission: Once the revised manuscript is submitted, it will undergo a final review by the editor to ensure that all necessary changes have been made.
9. Copyright and Open Access
- Copyright: Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer agreement, granting the journal the right to publish the work.
- Open Access: IJERI is an open-access journal. All articles are freely accessible online to the public. Authors retain the copyright of their work but agree to allow the journal to distribute it under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
10. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- Fees: IJERI does not charge any fees for submission or peer review. However, upon acceptance, authors are required to pay an article processing charge (APC) to cover the cost of publication and open access. Fee waivers may be available for authors from low-income countries.
