Open Access Policy
The Innovative Journal of Educational Research and Insights (IJERI) is committed to promoting free and open access to research. All articles published in IJERI are available online immediately upon publication, without any subscription fees or paywalls. This ensures that the research published in the journal is accessible to a global audience, including researchers, educators, practitioners, and the general public.
1. Open Access License
IJERI publishes all articles under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY). Under this license, users are free to:
- Read: Access and read the full content of all articles at no cost.
- Download: Download and store the articles for personal or academic use.
- Share: Distribute copies of the articles without restriction.
- Adapt: Modify, transform, or build upon the articles, as long as appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.
This license maximizes the dissemination and impact of research by allowing the free and unrestricted sharing of knowledge while ensuring authors receive credit for their work.
2. Benefits of Open Access
- Increased Visibility and Impact: Open access allows IJERI articles to reach a broader, global audience, increasing visibility and citation potential.
- No Barriers to Access: Researchers from all parts of the world, regardless of institutional affiliation or financial resources, can access IJERI content freely.
- Knowledge Sharing: Open access supports the dissemination of knowledge across borders, enhancing academic collaboration and educational development.
3. Copyright and Author Rights
- Author Retention of Copyright: Authors retain the copyright to their published work. By publishing in IJERI, authors grant the journal a license to distribute the work under the terms of the CC BY license.
- Rights to Reuse: Authors are free to share, distribute, and reproduce their published work, provided that the original source (IJERI) and the article DOI are cited.
4. Article Processing Charges (APC)
IJERI operates on an open-access model supported by Article Processing Charges (APCs). APCs are required to cover the costs associated with publication, including peer review management, professional editing, web hosting, and archiving.
- APC Transparency: Upon acceptance of the manuscript, authors are required to pay the APC to cover the cost of the open-access publication. APC information, including any waiver policies, is clearly outlined on the journal’s website.
- Fee Waivers: IJERI offers APC waivers or discounts for authors from low- and middle-income countries or those with demonstrated financial need. Authors can request a waiver during the submission process.
5. Archiving and Preservation
IJERI ensures the long-term preservation of its articles through partnerships with digital archiving services. This guarantees that all published content remains available, even if the journal's website is unavailable for any reason.
6. Non-Commercial Use
While IJERI articles are freely accessible under the CC BY license, the license allows for commercial reuse as long as proper credit is given. However, non-commercial use and educational distribution are highly encouraged to promote the sharing of knowledge without financial gain.
The Innovative Journal of Educational Research and Insights is dedicated to the principles of open access. By providing unrestricted access to its content, the journal fosters the global exchange of knowledge, supports educational innovation, and ensures that research findings are available to all without financial barriers.
